The River Sihl, which is a tributary of the more well-known River Limmat. It’s barely 70 kilometres long.  For me, it’s one of the most important places in the Zurich area. It’s like a gateway into another world that allows me to experience a different reality. I follow its course into the city in the morning and back to the countryside in the afternoon.

But I often spend time here at the weekend, too. Like a good magazine, the hustle and bustle along the banks of the river offer plenty of exciting stories.

Different parts of the river appeal to different audiences. You could compare it to different sections in a magazine, which would have titles like “Urban,” “ with ogs,” “Family & hildren,” “Bike & Active” or “The Great Outdoors.

Depending on my mood, preferences and companions, I feel at ease in any of these categories. It’s great to engage in conversation with like-minded people. And I can truly relax. Then I follow the course of the Sihl back to the city centre the next morning and dedicate myself to my clients with renewed energy.
