Hawa’s Slide magazine goes for change

Slide magazine from Hawa Sliding Solutions has been completely reworked. It’s a space for stories around architecture and design. The concept was developed by the Zurich design agency source, with communications agency open up responsible for implementing the editorial side.

Slide is a magazine geared to an audience of architects and designers. It has a print run of 21’500 copies in German, French and English and is distributed globally. The implementation includes an integrated online campaign with extended multimedia content.

The publication of the global market and technology leader for sliding solutions in construction, building and furniture features emotionally touching and intellectually stimulating content designed to provide rich technical food for thought. It addresses its readers as equal peers, offering a good blend of technical know-how, personal insights and coverage of current industry topics. Slide aims to inspire people to think things further.

High-end design and content

The magazine’s high-end aesthetic is based on an appealing mix of photography, illustrations and infographics. The design language establishes a direct link to the brand and associations with its products.

The first edition of the newly-conceived Slide appears under the banner of change and the premise that change is a positive force. In her lead essay, futurist Oona Horx-Strathern takes a peek at how the home and the office of the future might look. The magazine also explains how ideas are developed at Hawa Sliding Solutions, circular construction, how senior citizens will live in the future, and the character of the Dallas Design District.

«Change has always been the order of the day at Hawa. We’re constantly rethinking our offering, keeping our finger on the pulse of our customers and what they want. This reflection on current industry topics provides plenty of fertile ground for exciting stories which we can present in Slide,» explains Ezequiel Di Claudio, Co-CEO Hawa Sliding Solutions.
