Favourite place

Even when it’s moving, the Zurich tram is a fixed feature of my day. It connects me with work and home, with different parts of the city and with people and experiences. It’s not just a means of transport. It’s a place for looking forward to things, processing them, coming up with ideas, communicating… The list goes on.

I love being in the tram watching the city go by, observing all the different people who commute and indulging my thoughts. The highlight is always going over Quaibrücke bridge, with the lake and the impressive panorama of the Alps to the south and the city landmarks to the north.

If I’m not looking out of the window I’m – all too often – absorbed with my smartphone, scrolling through emails, thinking about the day ahead, responding to a WhatsApp message or confirming an appointment. Or I might be clicking through the relevant news portals to get an overview of what’s going on.  On the way home I often listen to podcasts or check LinkedIn and Instagram. All this is also a source of professional inspiration and new ideas.

But I’m always especially pleased if someone I know gets on the tram. An unexpected encounter and a brief chat: Hi, good to see you, bye, and a warm feeling of being connected.

Career

I’m equally passionate about looking after my portfolio of clients, primarily in the retail, financial and IT industries.

To each account I bring passion and over 20 years of experience in communications and PR. That includes the ten or so years I spent in head of corporate communications roles at stock-exchange-listed international insurance and trading groups. I learned the nuts and bolts at a PR agency and in the course of a degree in journalism and media studies at the University of Zurich.
